Everything has its own specialized terminology in the industry. For example, a computer has a professional term for a computer. As a component of a machine, a coupling, of course, also has professional terminology. Here, I will explain the terminology of a coupling.

◆Rated torque: refers to the torque capacity that the coupling can continuously transmit. The variable load factor during operation has been considered, so there is no need to adjust the rated torque. Please select a coupling with a rated torque higher than the continuous operating load torque.

◆maximumTorque: refers to what the coupling can transmit instantlymaximumTorque capacity, also called peak torque, is in principle twice the rated torque.

◆highestNumber of revolutions: refers to the available couplinghighestWhen rotating at high speed, please pay attention to the vibration caused by unbalance.

◆ Moment of inertia: refers to the difficulty of rotation of the coupling. The smaller the moment of inertia, the smaller the load torque when starting and stopping.

◆Static torsional rigidity: refers to the rigidity of the coupling against torsion. The greater the static torsional rigidity, the higher the response of the product.

◆Backlash value: refers to the amount of clearance existing in the rotation direction of the coupling. For high-precision positioning devices, please select a coupling with zero backlash value.

◆Applicable temperature: refers to the temperature range within which the coupling can be used.

◆ Deviation adjustment: Refers to the position accuracy error of the axis, which can be divided into three types: eccentricity, deflection angle, and axial deviation.

◆Eccentric reaction force: refers to the force generated by the assembly eccentricity of the coupling. The smaller the eccentric reaction force, the smaller the force that the bearing will bear.

◆Axial reaction force: refers to the force generated when the coupling is axially compressed. The smaller the axial reaction force, the smaller the force that the bearing will bear.

◆Natural frequency: refers to the resonance number of the coupling.
